January 15

Blessed Jesus…I will open my mouth and offer up unto You a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of my lips, worshiping You for Who You are…the One True Living God; praising You for all You have done for the souls of Man down through the ages; gratefully acknowledging, with a heart of thanksgiving, all You have Personally done for me. [Heb 13:15; Eph 5:19-20]

1st ABEL: THE SACRIFICE OF FAITH.  In Abel you see how faith makes death to self the entrance to the path to life.  Faith is the primary prerequisite to gain entrance into the Holy of Holies and the abiding Presence of God.

Then ENOCH: THE WALK OF FAITH.  The walk of faith brings the blessing of a life of unbroken fellowship with God in the Holy of Holies.

3rd NOAH: THE WORK OF FAITH.  Faith saves others from death by the work it does for them.  You are now called along with Noah to do the work of faith that can bless and save those around you…this is the fruit of the tree, produced by the work of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you.

4th ABRAHAM: THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH.  Obedience is the very essence of faith. In the very nature of things, it is impossible to receive God without receiving and wholeheartedly embracing His will.

5th SARAH: THE TRUST OF FAITH UNTO LIFE.  She considered God Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word.

NOW 6th: THE PILGRIM SPIRIT OF FAITH.

All these people were still living by faith when they died.  They had not received the tangible fulfillment of God’s promises; they only saw them and embraced them from afar off.  And all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were aliens and strangers upon the Earth.  People who say such things show plainly that they are in search of a country of their own.  If they had been longing for the country they had left, they would have had ample opportunity to return.  But instead, they were longing for a better and more desirable country…a Heavenly one.  For that reason God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a City for them. [Heb 11:13-16]

Faith makes us pilgrims

Faith makes us pilgrims…strangers and sojourners here on Earth, because my heart is in the homeland which is Heaven.  Since, then, you have been raised with Christ into newness of life, set your heart on things above, in the Heavenly realms, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father.  Set your mind and your thoughts on the things of Heaven, not on the things of Earth.  For you died in union with Christ, and your new life is now hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ, Who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in Glory. [Col 3:1-4]

Citizen of Heaven

I am no longer a citizen of this world, under the jurisdiction of the Law of sin and death. I have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light.  I have been transferred out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light.  I am a citizen of Heaven, and as such I am under the jurisdiction of the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.  I have been placed upon this Earth…born into this world by the will of God, for we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do. [Eph 2:10]  Earth is not my home; I am a stranger and an alien here…a resident alien.  The people here are strange to me.  What is important to them is not important to me.  The things they treasure and value have little worth and value to me.  The things they do in their spare time are not the things I would do.  The things they laugh at and think are funny are not funny to me…in many cases they are grievous to me. The things they spend their time on are not the things I would spend my time on.  They are not like the residents of my home in Heaven.  And all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were aliens and strangers upon the Earth. [Heb 11:13-16]  I desire and long for a better country…a Heavenly one.  Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world.  If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world…the cravings of sinful Man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does…comes not from the Father but from the world. [1 John 2:15-16]

Friends, brothers and sisters…

There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell.  You must be a born-again child of God.  I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom.  I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]

If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”

Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it:
