Lord God Almighty…I worship Your majesty; Your Name is majestic in all the Earth!  You are glorious in Your Majesty, majestic in Holiness, awesome in Power, You are our wonder-working God. [Ex 15:11; Ps 8:1-9; 145:3-7]

1st ABEL: THE SACRIFICE OF FAITH. In Abel I see how faith makes death to self the entrance to the path to life.  Faith is the primary prerequisite to gain entrance into the Holy of Holies and the abiding Presence of God.

Then ENOCH: THE WALK OF FAITH.  The walk of faith brings the blessing of a life of unbroken fellowship with God in the Holy of Holies.

3rd NOAH: THE WORK OF FAITH.  Faith saves others from death by the work it does for them.  I am now called along with Noah to do the work of faith that can bless and save those around me…this is the fruit of the tree, produced by the work of the Holy Spirit dwelling within me.

4th ABRAHAM: THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH.  Obedience is the very essence of faith. In the very nature of things, it is impossible to receive God without receiving and wholeheartedly embracing His will.

5th SARAH: THE TRUST OF FAITH UNTO LIFE.  She considered God Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word.

6th: THE PILGRIM SPIRIT OF FAITH.  Faith makes me a pilgrim…a stranger and sojourner here on Earth, because my heart is in the homeland which is Heaven.

7th ABRAHAM: THE TRUST OF FAITH UNTO DEATH.  With Sarah, I saw the trust of faith unto life, resulting in the son of promise…Isaac. With Abraham, I see the far deeper trust of faith unto death, resulting in receiving the son of promise back from the dead.

8th: THE BLESSING OF FAITH UPON THE CHILDREN.  In the spiritual world, the man of faith is a blessing to his children.

9th MOSES: THE DECISION OF FAITH.  By choice, rather than keeping his physical eyes on these visible, temporal things, he kept his eyes of faith on the future reward that God would give him.

Motivated by faith, Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because his gaze was fixed on the Invisible One.  By faith he instituted the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood in order that the destroyer of the first-born would not touch the firstborn of Israel.  Urged on by faith, the Israelites passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.  By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the Israelites had marched around them for seven days. Prompted by faith, Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed along with those who refused to believe and obey, because she had received the spies with peace. [Heb 11:27-31]

Faith is everything

There is no way of pleasing God, of abiding in His Presence and favor, but by faith.  In these 5 verses concerning the redemption of Israel, there are 5 examples of how in all that God does in redemption, on man’s part faith is the beginning and ending. Everywhere we look, the one thing God asks, the one thing that pleases Him, the one thing that secures His blessing, is faith.  Just as there is one God and one redemption, so there is but one way to Him and to it…faith alone in Him.  As absolute and universal and undisputed is the sole supremacy of God, is to be the supremacy of faith in my heart and life.  Faith is the key to the life of all God’s saints, and the key to my enjoyment of its power and blessings.  But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Now the just shall live by faith: but if anyone draws back from a life of faith, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. [Heb 11:6; 10:38]

Bidding farewell to Egypt

By faith Moses forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king.  That is always the first step…coming out, being separate, parting with sin, bidding farewell to Egypt, the land of my birth, and fearing not the wrath of Satan or the world.  He endured, as seeing Him Who is Invisible.  Here is the mighty power of faith: it sees what others cannot see, and is guided by something infinitely greater…it sees God and embraces Him.  The eye of faith can be trained, by practice, to see God everywhere.  I need only abide in His Presence until my heart is filled with it.  I need only recognize Him in everything that happens…every circumstance, every event, every thing that touches my life.  I am to fully embrace the spiritual truth that nothing can touch my life apart from God having either Personally caused it to happen, or having specifically, consciously, and deliberately allowed it to happen…and all to accomplish His Own good purpose.  I must seek to walk in the light of His countenance.  Seeing the invisible will make it easier to forsake the world and do the will of God.  Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world.  If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world…the lust of the flesh with its craving for sensual gratification, and the lust of the eyes with the greedy longings of the mind, and the pride of life that looks for assurance in one’s own resources and in the stability of earthly things…these do not come from the Father but are from the world itself.  And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings, passionate desires, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides forever. [1 John 2:15-18]

Friends, brothers and sisters…

There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell.  You must be a born-again child of God.  I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom.  I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]

If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”

A mighty fortress is our God:
