God did not spare even the angels who sinned.  He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.  And God did not spare the ancient world…except for Noah and the seven others in his family.  Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment.  So God protected Noah when He destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood.  And God condemned to ruin and extinction the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, reducing them to ashes, setting them forth as an example to those who would be ungodly.  But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the filthy, perverse lives of the homosexual men inhabiting those cities.  In that day, before Lot and his 2 guests had retired for the night, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom…both young and old… surrounded the house.  They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight?  Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.” [Gen 19:4-5]  Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day.  So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.  He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. [2 Peter 2:4-10]

Beloved…be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit.  Be alertly waiting for your master’s return from the wedding feast, so you may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks.  Blessed are those whom the master finds ready when he comes.  You also, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect! [Jesus…Luke 12:35-37, 40]

I praise You, Lord, with all my heart; I will proclaim all Your wondrous works!  Great and marvelous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty!  Just and true are Your ways, King of the ages!  Who will not stand in awe of You, O Lord, and ascribe unto You all the Glory due Your Holy Name?  I am filled with joy, and rejoice in You!  I sing praises to Your Name, O Most High! [Ps 9:1-2; Rev 15:3-4]

Relationship with God…deep, intimate, intensely personal…is Man’s missing crown of glory.  Worship…in Spirit and in Truth…is the missing jewel in the Royal Diadem. These two foundational principles, the very underlying purposes for God’s Creation, are missing…both in the lives of individual souls and in the life of the Church.
Jesus interceded before the Father on our behalf, in His High Priestly Prayer when He knew His hour had come, “that they all may be one, just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us.” [John 17:21]  Relationship between God and Man, whom He created in His Own image and Glory, was purposed to be characterized by a soul’s living union of oneness with the Triune God…a oneness that mirrored Their Own relationship with One Another.  Christ Jesus prayed for the Father’s fulfillment of God’s original intended purpose for the souls of Man.
In our present times, the lives of the vast majority of Christians characterize anything and everything but a living union of oneness with God.  There is no concept of Divine marriage, no concept of Sacred Covenant relationship.  Christ Jesus poured out His Own Precious Blood in payment of the price for our redemption, to purchase souls for God from every Tribe and Tongue and People and Nation.  The Father Himself did not spare His Own Son, but gave Him up for us all.  Yet we, for our part, are taught to put a few small coins in God’s gumball machine, turn the knob, and out comes our eternal salvation!  We take our prize home, tuck it safely away in a drawer to remind us every now and again that we have fulfilled our goal, and proceed to get on with the enjoyment of our life in this world.  And yes…we, of course, honor God with some tokens of our time, scheduling Him into our otherwise busy worldly lifestyle.  Like school-children dutifully going about their homework even though all the while their hearts are outside playing, even so we dutifully render to God whatever minimal time is necessary to appease our conscience and satisfy our sense of duty.  Divine marriage?  Shallow! Sacred Covenant relationship?  Superficial!  Jesus…our crown of glory?  It is missing!  God’s Love…so amazing, so Divine that it demands my soul, my life, my ALL?  There is only a small remnant of such souls as these.  God enable us by the Power of His Indwelling Spirit to embrace His purposes and thereby be counted part of that remnant!
“But you are a chosen race”, declares God, “A royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, My Own purchased, special people, that you may set forth My wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of the One Who called you out of darkness into My marvelous light.  Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My Covenant, then you shall be My Own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for all the Earth is Mine.  And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, a holy nation, consecrated and set apart to the worship of God.” [1 Peter 2:9; Ex 19:5-6].  Our place in this Sacred Covenant relationship with our God is to worship God and enjoy Him forever!
Lamentably, worship is the missing jewel in Christ’s crown of glory…both in the vast majority of His churches and in the lives of a vast majority of those who call themselves by His name.  Sunday “worship services” at most churches are merely humanly ordained programs and rigid orders of service that exclude the rule and authority of the Holy Spirit, rather than inviting and welcoming His reigning Presence. Several programmed worship songs are offered to God as part of the ritual, but there is no worship in Spirit and in Truth.  Casual observation clearly reveals that the heart’s of the people are not in the songs they are singing.  There is no awareness that they are at the Throne of Grace, standing in the Presence of God, face to face before Him.  They are not aware of what they are actually saying to God in the words of the song, much less that they sincerely mean the words they are singing to Him.  If there are any true worshipers there, such as the Father seeks, they merely become frustrated as the Spirit within them that longs to worship God is being quenched.  In stark contrast, if one walked into a rock concert, you would experience true worshipers…young people pouring out their heart’s, singing from the very depths of their being, hands raised in adoration and praise, hearts filled with ardent longing for just a look, just a touch!  Sadly, their worship is misdirected to an idol rather than to the One True Living God, to the creature rather than to the Creator.
There are very few churches with mid-week services where the people gather solely to worship God, and then to call on His great name and mighty power in prayer. Many churches have discontinued these meetings, because only a handful of people show up…if any at all.  In stark contrast, tens of thousands are drawn to attend a sporting event, filled with a joyful expectation and an excited anticipation, but Jesus the Christ…Who is glorious in His Majesty, Majestic in Holiness, Awesome in Power, our wonder-working God…does not draw!
Jesus explained to the Samaritan woman at the well, “The time is coming, and is already here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.” [John 4:23]  True worshipers such as the Father seeks will worship Him in Spirit and Truth.  There is only a small remnant of souls who long to live faithfully in that Sacred Covenant relationship with God for which purpose they were created, who seek to become the true worshipers that please the Father, who desire to be the mirror of the Almighty we were called to be.  May the Spirit of the Living God work in us both to will and to do by the Power of His enabling grace to become a part of that remnant!
To Him Who sits on the Throne, and to the Lamb, be all praise and honor and Glory and Power, for ever and ever, throughout the eternal ages!  The four living beings shouted, “Amen!”  And the twenty-four elders fell prostrate before the Throne, and worshiped Him Who sits on the Throne and the Lamb!  Hallelujah…for our Lord God Almighty reigns!

Friends, brothers and sisters…

There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell.  You must be a born-again child of God.  I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom.  I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]

If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”
