Day One: Photos #1-4

1]  Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, God decided, “I am going to make the Earth and everything that is on it. And I am going to make the heavens and everything that is in it.”
2]  Now in the very beginning, before God began His work, the Earth was not like the way we see it now. Not at all. It was empty, without anything on it. Deep oceans covered the Earth, and everything was very, very dark…pitch black. Then the Spirit of God began sweeping over the stormy seas.
3]  And God said, “Let there be light!” At once daylight appeared, just as He commanded, and chased away the darkness! God looked at the light, and He was pleased with what He had done. He then separated the light from the darkness.
4]  God called the light “Daytime,” and He called the darkness “Nighttime.” The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the very first day, and the beginning of a new day…the second day.

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God decided He was going to create the Heavens and the Earth. The heavens and the Earth did not come into existence as the result of some spontaneous cosmic explosion. All the various forms of living things… plants, fish, birds, land animals, human beings…did not just evolve out of some single living cell unexplainably coming into existence out from non-living matter. To think so would be to believe the faces of the 4 Presidents carved in such wondrous detail in the rock of Mt. Rushmore was the result of millions of years of wind, rain, and ice etching these faces upon that rock! No…the heavens with everything in it, and the Earth with all the living and non-living things on it, are the work of an Almighty Creator, having intricate design, form, and direction. God Himself was the Master Designer…the Architect of the heavens and the Earth! Ever since God created the world, His invisible qualities…both His eternal Power and His Divine nature…have been clearly seen. They are perceived and understood in the majesty and glory of God’s breathtaking creation handiwork. So these people have no excuse at all! [Rom 1:20]
  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God created the light, and He separated the light from the darkness. He called the light “daytime” and He called the darkness “nighttime.”

Questions for your children:

A]  What did God decide a long time ago He was going to make?
B]  Which one of the planets in photo #I is Earth?  Mars?
C]  Can you name any of the other planets?
D]  Before God began His work, name 3 things that tell what the Earth looked like?
E]  What did God create on the very 1st day?
F]  How did He do it? Name something you would like to appear right now.
G]  What 2 things did God separate from one another?
H]  What did God call the light?  What did God call the darkness?
I]  When was it the end of the very first day and the beginning of a new day?

Day Two: Photos #5-8

5]  Now after God had made the light on the first day, and then separated the light from the darkness, the Earth was still not like the way we see it now. Not at all. Deep oceans covered all the Earth. From one end of the Earth to the other, there was nothing but water. Above the surface of the water there was nothing but very thick clouds and very dense fog. They were so thick and so dense you could not see anything at all! There was no land yet, and there was no sky either…just water and thick clouds and dense fog.
6]  So on the second day God spoke again. He said, “Let there be a wide and very high open space placed between the waters of the ocean and the dense fog. Let the wide and very high open space separate the oceans of the Earth from the thick clouds and dense fog.”
7]  At once a wide and very high open space appeared, just as He commanded! God made this wide and very high open space to separate the oceans of the Earth from the thick clouds and dense fog He wanted to stay high up in the heavens above. God called the wide and very high open space “Sky.”
8]  The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the second day, and the beginning of a new day…the third day.

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God created the sky…to be a wide and very high open space placed between the waters of the oceans, and the thick clouds and dense fog that lay over the surface and covered it, in order to separate them from one another.

Questions for your children:

A] At the start of the 2nd day, what 3 things covered all the Earth?
B] What did God create on the 2nd day?
C] How did He do it?
D] What were the things that God wanted to separate from one another?
E] What did God call the open space He created above the oceans?
F] When was it the end of the second day and the beginning of a new day?

Summary: Photo #9

9]  Now on the first day God made the light, and then separated the light from the darkness. On the second day, He made the wide and very high open space called “Sky.” But the Earth was still not like the way we see it now. Not at all. The deep oceans still covered all the Earth. From one end to the other, there was nothing but water.

Questions for your children:

A] What did God create on the very 1st day?
B] What did God create on the 2nd day?
C] Why was the Earth still not like the way we see it now?

Day Three: Photos #10-14

10]  So on the third day God spoke again. He said, “Let the water of the oceans be gathered together in their own places. Let dry ground appear in their own places.” At once all of the dry ground and the mountains appeared, just as He commanded!
11]  God called the dry ground “Land.” The waters He had gathered together in their own places He called “Seas.” God looked at the land and the seas, and He was pleased with all He had done!
12]  Then God spoke again. He said, “Let the Earth grow all kinds of plants… flowers, trees, and every green thing that has leaves and grows. And let each one of them also grow seeds, so that their seeds can sprout and make more of their own kind of plant.” At once all kinds of plants appeared…flowers, trees, and every green thing that has leaves and grows, just as He commanded!
13]  From that time on, the Earth grew every kind of plant…many, many different kinds of flowers and trees, and green things that have leaves and grow! Each one of them also grew seeds, and their seeds sprouted and grew more of its own kind of plant. God looked at all the wonderful vegetation He had commanded the Earth to grow. He was pleased with all He had done!
14]  The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the third day, and the beginning of a new day…the fourth day.

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God caused the dry ground and mountains to appear, and separated them from the waters of the Earth. He called the dry ground He had gathered together in their own places “land,” and He called the waters He had gathered together in their own places “seas.”
  • God created the first living thing…plant life.
  • God ordained the “Principle of Seed.” The principle of seed would become the defining characteristic of all living things, and would provide a way for the vegetation God had just created to make more of their own kind of plant and to fill the Earth with wonderful flowers, trees, and every green thing that has leaves and grows.  In every living thing that God created… beginning with plants and all the way through to Human Beings…God provided for their capability to reproduce themselves and grow in number [propagation] through the principle of seed.

Questions for your children:

A] On the 3rd day, what did God gather together and what did He cause to appear?
B] How did He do it?
C] What did God call the waters He had gathered together?
D] What did God call the dry ground?
E] After doing this, what were the very first living things God created?
F] What was the special thing He caused these living things to be able to do?
G] Why did God cause plants to grow seeds?
H] When was it the end of the third day and the beginning of a new day?

Summary: Photo #15

15]  Now you know that on the first day God made the light, and separated it from the darkness. On the second day God made the wide and very high open space He called “Sky.” On the third day God made the dry ground and the mountains appear in their own places. He gathered the water of the oceans together to stay in their own places. God called the dry ground “Land.” The waters He had gathered together in their own places He called “Seas.” God also commanded the Earth to grow all kinds of beautiful plants…many, many different kinds of flowers, trees, and green things that have leaves and grow. Still, the Earth was not like the way we see it now. Above the surface of the Earth was the wide and very high open space of the sky…but the sky had nothing in it!  Nothing at all!

Questions for your children:

A] What 2 things did God do on the 1st day?
B] What did God create on the 2nd day?
C] What 2 things did God gather together on the 3rd day?
D] On what day did God create the very first living things?  What were they?
E] Why was the Earth still not like the way we see it now? What was missing?

Day Four: Photos #16-20

16]   So on the fourth day God spoke again. He said, “Let there be lights in the sky to separate daytime from nighttime. There will be one bright light to shine during the day. There will be many other not as bright lights to shine during the night. These lights will show the time for seasons. They will also be used like a calendar to mark off days, years, and all the special holidays of the year that everyone celebrates together.”
17]  They will be lights in the sky to shine and give light on all the Earth. At once all the lights in the sky appeared, to shine and give light on all the Earth, just as He commanded!
18]  So it was that God made the two large lights…the sun and the moon. He made the sun, which is the much brighter light, to shine during the day. And He made the moon, which is not nearly as bright, to shine during the night. He also made all the stars…so many that no one could count them all!
19]  God put the sun, the moon, and all the stars in the sky to shine and give light on all the Earth. The sun was to rule over the day, and the moon was to rule over the night. God wanted them to separate the light of daytime from the darkness of nighttime. God looked at the sun, moon, and stars He had placed in the sky, and He was pleased with all He had done!
20]  The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the fourth day, and the beginning of a new day…the fifth day.

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God created lights in the sky…the sun, moon, and an uncountable number of stars.
  • The purpose for the lights was to separate daytime from nighttime, and to give light on all the Earth.

Questions for your children:

A] Did God create any living things on the 4th day?  What did He create?
B] What has to happen to make one day go by?
C] How many days have to go by to make one year?
D] Name some of the special holidays that everyone celebrates together.
E] How did God create all the lights in the sky? Name something you would like to appear right now.
F] What were the 2 reasons why God created lights in the sky? What are the 2 large lights that God created?
G] Which is the one that is not as bright, and when does it shine?
H] Which is the much brighter light, and when does it shine?
I] What do you call the many, many, small lights that are in the night sky? Is anyone able to count them all?
J] Which light was to rule over the night? Which light was to rule over the day?
K] What did God want to separate by creating the sun and the moon?
L] When was it the end of the fourth day and the beginning of a new day?

Summary: Photo #21
21]  Now the Earth was beginning to look a little bit like the way we see it now. There was daytime and nighttime. There was the sky, with the sun, moon, and stars that God had placed there to give light to all the Earth. There were land and mountains. There were oceans and seas. There were beautiful plants growing on the Earth…all kinds of flowers, trees, and green things that have leaves and grow. But something was missing. the Earth still seemed so empty. There were no animals, or birds, or fish!

Questions for your children:

A] Name what God had created so far, and what day He did it.
B] With all of this, the Earth still seemed so empty! What was still missing?

Day Five: Photos #22-26

22]  So on the fifth day God spoke again. He said, “Let the oceans and seas be filled with all kinds of fish and sea animals that swim in the water. Let the sky be filled with all kinds of birds with wings that can fly in the wide and very high space above the Earth.”
23]  So God created the large sea animals and all kinds of fish, and every other living creature that swims in the sea. The oceans and seas were filled with these many different kinds of sea creatures. For every kind of living creature that swims in the sea, God blessed them by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did that so a male and a female of the same kind of sea creature could get together and have children just like themselves.
24]  God also made every kind of bird that can fly. For every kind of bird, God blessed them by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did that so a male and a female of the same kind of bird could get together and have children just like themselves.
25]  Yes…God blessed all the sea creatures and the birds. He said to them, “Have many young ones so that there may be great numbers of you in the oceans and seas. Let the birds also grow in number in the sky above the Earth.” God looked at all the wonderful fish in the oceans and seas and all the birds in the sky He had created. He was pleased with all He had done!
26]  The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the fifth day, and the beginning of a new day…the sixth day.

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God created the first non-plant living things…fish to fill the oceans and seas, and birds with wings to fill the sky.
  • Principle of Gender: God blessed every kind of living creature that swims in the sea by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did this so a male and a female of the same kind could get together and have children just like themselves and fill the oceans and seas.

Questions for your children:

A] What 2 kinds of living things did God create on the 5th day?
B] Are there many different kinds of fish? Can you name a kind of fish?
C] How did God bless all the different kinds of fish?
D] Why did God make some of the fish “male,” and some of them “female?”
E] Can one kind of male fish get together with a different kind of female fish, and then have children?
F] Are there many different kinds of birds? Can you name a kind of bird?
G] How did God bless all the different kinds of birds?
H] Why did God make some of the birds “boys,” and some of them “girls?”
I] What was the first living thing God created that could make more of its own kind of self?
J] How does this first living thing do this?
K] Can one kind of male bird get together with a different kind of female bird, and then have children?
L] What did God tell the fish and the birds to do so that there would be great numbers of them in the sky and in the oceans & seas?
M] When was it the end of the fifth day and the beginning of a new day?

Summary: Photo #27

27]  Finally, the Earth was beginning to look a lot like the way we see it now. There was daytime and nighttime. There was the sky, with the sun, moon, and stars that God had placed there. There were land and mountains. There were oceans and seas. There were beautiful plants growing on the Earth…all kinds of flowers, trees, and green things that have leaves and grow. Questions for your children:

A] Name all the things God had created so far. On what day did He create them? How did He do it?
B] With all of this, the Earth was still missing 2 things! What was still missing?

Day Six-Animals: Photos #28-30

28]  So on the sixth day God spoke again. He said, “Let the Earth be filled with all kinds of living creatures that walk and crawl on the land. Let there be tame animals, and wild animals, and all kinds of reptiles, small animals, and insects.” At once every kind of animal, reptile, and insect that walks or crawls on the land appeared, just as He commanded!
29]   God blessed each and every kind of tame animal and wild animal, and each and every kind of reptile, small animal, and insect. He blessed them by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did that so a male and a female of the same kind could get together and have children just like themselves. God looked at all the wonderful living creatures He had created that walk and crawl on the land. He was pleased with all He had done!
30]  Then God spoke again. He said, “We have now finished making every kind of living being. There are fish and all kinds of creatures that swim in the oceans and seas. There are all kinds of birds flying in the sky. There are animals and all kinds of living creatures that walk and crawl on the land. We have blessed every kind of living being by creating some of them male, and some of them female. We did this so a male and a female of the same kind could get together and have children just like themselves.”

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • God spoke; He commanded, and it came to be.
  • God created land creatures…non-plant living things that walk and crawl on the land.
  • Principle of Gender: God blessed every kind of living creature that walks and crawls on the land by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did this so a male and a female of the same kind could get together and have children just like themselves, and fill the land.

Questions for your children:

A] What were the first new living things God created on the 6th day?
B] Can you name a tame animal? Wild animal? Reptile? Small animal? Insect?
C] How did God bless all the different kinds of animals that live on the land?
D] Why did God make some of the animals “male,” and some of them “female?”
E] What was the first living thing God created that could make more of its own kind of self?
F] How does this first living thing do that?

Day Six-Human Beings: Photos #31-37

31]  Let Us now make a living being who will be Our children. They will be just like Ourselves. We will call them “Human Beings.” They will be known on all the Earth as the children of God. I will be their Father and their God, and they will be My sons and daughters.
32]  We will put them in charge of everything We have made. We will let them rule over the fish that swim in the sea. They will rule over the birds in the sky. They will rule over the tame animals and all the small animals, reptiles, and insects that walk or crawl on the land. We will let them rule over all the Earth.
33]  So God created human beings just like Himself. They are His children. He created some of them male and some of them female. He did this so that a male and a female could be joined together in marriage and then have a family with children just like themselves.
34]  Some of their children would be boys, and some would be girls. Are you a boy? Are you a girl? God had already decided a long time ago, before you were even born, what each child would be…a boy or a girl. If you are a boy, God has wonderful plans He has made for you as a boy. And if you are a girl, God has wonderful plans He has made for you as a girl.
35]  Boys are very special to God. Only boys, when they grow up, will have the seed inside their body that can start a new baby. Girls are also very special to God. Only girls, when they grow up, will be able to receive the seed from a boy and then make a baby come to life and grow. And only a girl will be able to grow a baby inside her body.
36]  Girls will not have the seed in their body to start a new baby. Only boys will. And boys will not be able to make a baby come to life and then grow inside themselves. Only girls can.  God made it this way so that you would need a male and a female…a father and a mother…to be joined together in marriage. Then together they would be able to make babies and have a family with children just like themselves.
37]  God blessed Human Beings and He said, “Have families with children, and grow in number. Fill the Earth with people! You will be the master whom I have put in charge over all the Earth. Rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky. Rule over every living thing that moves on the land.”

Parents/teachers: What your children need to know.

  • Principle of Gender: God blessed human beings by creating some of them male, and some of them female. He did this so a male and a female of the same kind could be joined together in marriage and then have a family with children just like themselves, and fill the Earth with people.
  • Defining Characteristic of Gender: There is one characteristic that only a boy can have and that a girl can never have…a characteristic that makes a boy a boy and not a girl.
There is one characteristic that only a girl can have and that a boy can never have…a characteristic that makes a girl a girl and not a boy.
Boys: Only boys, when they grow up, will have the seed inside their body that can start a new baby. That is the one characteristic that defines an individual as a boy. A girl can NEVER HAVE that characteristic.
Girls: Only girls, when they grow up, will be able to receive the seed from a boy and then make a baby come to life and grow. And only a girl will be able to grow a baby inside her body. Questions for your children:

A] What was the very last kind of living beings God created?
B] Whose children were they to be? Who was to be their Father? Who would they be like?
C] What did God put them in charge of and make them ruler over?

Principle Of Gender

A] How did God bless Human Beings?
B] Why did God make some of them “male” and some of them “female?”
C] Do fish, birds, and animals first get married and then have a family with children just like themselves?
God wanted 1 man to be joined together for life with 1 woman in marriage, and then together they could have a family with children.  Children live at home and are responsible to their parents all through their teenage years, and don’t really leave their parents home and go out on their own until sometime after that.
D] What did God tell the fish and the birds to do so that there would be great numbers of them in the sky and in the oceans & seas?
E] What did God tell Human Beings to do so they would grow in number and fill the Earth with people?
F] Are you a boy? Are you a girl? Who decided whether you would be a boy or a girl?
G] You are a boy [girl]…do you think God might have made a mistake and should have made you to be a girl [boy]?
Do you think God might have made a mistake with any boy or girl whom He created? [Read Psalm 139:13-18.]

Defining Characteristic of Gender

A] Why are boys very special to God? Why are girls very special to God?
B] What is God’s one special gift that makes you know that a boy is a boy, and not a girl?
What is God’s one special gift that makes you know that a girl is a girl, and not a boy?
C] When you grow up, if you will have the seed in your body that can start a new baby, are you a boy or a girl?
When you grow up, if you will be able to make a baby come to life and then grow inside your body, are you a boy or a girl?
D] What one special gift did God give to boys that a girl can NEVER have?
What one special gift did God give to girls that a boy can NEVER have?
E] If you are a boy…is there anything you can do now as a child that a girl cannot do?   How about when you grow up? Will there be anything you can do that a girl will not be able to do?
If you are a girl…is there anything you can do now as a child that a boy cannot do?   How about when you grow up? Will there be anything you can do that a boy will not be able to do?
F] If you are a boy…what is there about you, when you grow up, that makes you different than a girl?
If you are a girl…what is there about you, when you grow up, that makes you different than a boy?
G] If you are a boy…can you ever decide you want to be a girl, and then become a girl? Why not?
If you are a girl…can you ever decide you want to be a boy, and then become a boy? Why not?
H] What if someone said, “I am a boy, but I was born with a girl’s body. Is that possible? Why?
No; a boy is born with a boy’s body…a body that, when he grows up, is able to grow seeds that can start a new baby. If a child is born with a girl’s body…then she is a girl. The body you are born with tells you whether you are a boy or a girl.
What if someone said, “I am a girl, but I was born with a boy’s body. Is that possible? Why?
No; a girl is born with a girl’s body…a body that, when she grows up, is able to receive the seed from a boy and cause a baby to come to life and then grow inside of her. If a child is born with a boy’s body…then he is a boy. The body you are born with tells you whether you are a boy or a girl.
There was a 6 yr. old girl who liked to say, “I am a horse.” Then she would “gallop” around the house and neigh and do horsey things. Was she a horse? Why? What was she doing? She was pretending to be a horse.
There was a family that had 2 boys…5 and 6 yrs. old. One day a new family moved in next door, and they had a 5 yr. old boy. So the mom invited him to come over and play. The boy showed up wearing a dress and girls shoes, and had pink nail polish on his fingernails. What do you think about that?
I] How do you know you are a boy/girl?

Principle of Seed

A] What was the first living thing God created that could make more of its own kind of self?
B] How does this first living thing do that?
C] What has to happen with seeds so that they will be able to sprout and make more of their own kind of plant?
Seeds have to be planted in the soil. Then the seeds will sprout, and new plants will come to life and begin to grow.
D] When a boy grows up, what has to happen with the seeds inside his body so that they will be able to come to life and then grow as a new baby?
Seeds have to be given to a girl…received by a girl when she grows  up…and planted in her body. Then a seed will “sprout,” and a new baby will come to life and begin to grow inside her body.
E] Can a male animal or bird or fish get together with another male of the same kind, and then have children just like themselves?  Why?
Can a female animal or bird or fish get together with another female of the same kind, and then have children just like themselves?  Why?
F] Can a male tiger get together with a female cow, and then have children just like themselves?
G] Can a man “marry” a man…or a woman “marry” a woman…and then together make babies and have a family with children just like themselves?
H] Where did you come from?  How did you get here?

Day Six-God’s Provisions and Thoughts: Photos #38-41

38]  Then God said to His children, “Look at all the wonderful vegetation I have commanded the Earth to grow! I now give to you all the plants that grow grain for you to eat, and all kinds of trees that grow delicious fruit. Their grains and their fruits will be all yours for food.”
39]  Then God said to all of His other living creatures, “I give every green plant that has leaves and grows, and all the green grass, as food for every wild animal and every bird in the sky. It will be food for every small animal and living creature that moves on the land.” And so all the wonderful vegetation God had commanded the Earth to grow became food, some for human beings and some for all other living beings, just as He commanded!
40]  God looked at everything He had made. Daytime and nighttime. The sky, with the sun, moon, and stars. Land and mountains. Oceans and seas. Beautiful plants, flowers, trees, and green things that have leaves and grow. Fish swimming in the oceans and seas. Birds flying in the sky. Animals walking and crawling on the land. And best of all, His Own children, just like Himself! Yes, God created human beings to be sons and daughters in His Own Family! God was VERY pleased with all He had done!
41]  The light of daytime was soon over, and then came the darkness of nighttime. Soon nighttime was over and the morning light appeared. That was the end of the sixth day, and the beginning of a new day…the seventh day.

Questions for your children:
