Ps 25:3: Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed.

In the very prayer, there is the promise: They that wait on You shall not be ashamed! How many are there, sick and weary and solitary, to whom it is as if their prayers are not answered, whose hopes in their ministry work have been disappointed, whose longing for power and blessing remains unsatisfied, who cannot seem to find the path to the life of rest and perfect peace, of abiding light and fellowship, of strength and victory. With all these, it is nothing but that they have not yet learned the secret of full waiting upon God…the living assurance that waiting on God can NEVER be in vain. ONLY BELIEVE with a living assurance…that waiting on God can never be in vain.

My intercession for all my brothers and sisters who wait upon God must become part of my own waiting upon God, because love to our brethren and love to God are inseparably linked. All true seeking of God and His love for myself, will be inseparably linked with the thought and the love of my brethren, expressed in the very least in my prayer for them. Unselfishness and love for my brethren is the path to the highest blessing and the fullest communion with God, just as in the Father the love to His Son and to us are one, and in Christ the love of the Father to Him, and His love to us, are one: John 17:20-23: I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are One: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in oneness, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me; John 13:34-35: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.

From many and many a witness comes the cry for help…those who are so weary, or feeble, or so entangled in the efforts of their work. I am to be a source of encouragement to them: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you that wait on the Lord! Let none that wait on Thee be ashamed!”

This is the blessed life of deep and intimate personal relationship with God: my waiting upon God…watching and waiting, looking off unto Him and listening for His voice…with an unwavering child-like trust and an unreserved child-like dependence, with a joyful expectation and an excited anticipation, for God to reveal to me His plans, His purposes, His will, a deeper revelation of Who He is, SO I MAY THEN RESPOND with an unquestioning child-like obedience to every leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit, cooperating with the power of His enabling grace Who works in me both to will and to do.  My soul, wait thou only upon God!
