My beloved child…genuine faith makes no presumptions concerning My work and My will; has no expectations as to what the results will be. It assumes no responsibility for the results; that is rather for Me to consider. Faith’s only responsibility is to respond to every leading of My Holy Spirit, and to cooperate with the Power of His enabling grace in doing so. [Father God…Rom 4:19-25]
Walk of Faith: Waiting on God
** **, greatly beloved, I have set Enoch before you to show you that the walk of faith in God’s Presence and good pleasure is well-pleasing in My sight, and brings the blessing of a life of unbroken fellowship with God in the Holy of Holies. The walk of faith is a continual and unceasing waiting upon God during the course of your every day life…waiting upon God, with a child-like trust and a child-like dependence, for God to reveal His plans, His purposes, His will, a deeper revelation of Who I AM, SO YOU MAY THEN RESPOND with an unquestioning child-like obedience, to every leading and prompting of My Holy Spirit, cooperating with the Power of His enabling grace Who works in you both to will and to do. It acknowledges God as Lord of your life, and submits to My Lordship by giving Me free reign to determine and direct the selection of your everyday activities, as well as the overriding goals for the course of your life. It wholeheartedly embraces the words of Christ Jesus My Son, and makes His words the power of your life: I am telling you the truth: a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains. Those who love their life in this world, serving only themselves and their own interests, will lose it; those who place no value on their own self-life in this world willingly exchange it for an eternal life in glory. Whoever has no love for, no concern for, no regard for his life here on Earth, but despises it, preserves his life forever and ever in glory. If anyone serves Me, he must continue to follow Me…to cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying…and wherever I am, there will My servant also be. If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him. [John 12:24-26]
My brothers and sisters…there are currently a number of ministries the Lord has given me to be involved in. In each one of these ministries, I can clearly point to how God specifically placed me by His Spirit to do these things. He has Personally shown me plainly, clearly, beyond the shadow of any doubt what His will for me at present is. These are the only things I am involved in; nothing more or in addition. I only do what my Father shows me to do; I only speak the words my Father gives me to speak. This is the deepest desire and intent of my heart. Though I may fail Him…oftentimes I do…
nevertheless my heart is perfect in what I desire, and the Spirit of God is therefore continually perfecting the actual living out of my life, conforming me ever more deeply into the likeness of Christ. That is the work of the Spirit in each of us that are His. This is the life of faith…the walk of faith.
There are certain things God has clearly commanded us to do in His Word. I am not saying we need to wait upon God as to whether we should do these things or not; we have already been commanded to do them. We are commanded to love our enemies; but we need to wait upon God to show us how, and when, to do this. We are commanded to preach the Gospel to all flesh; but we need to wait upon God as to who, and when, and where. Not everyone is called to the mission field, and we had better not become missionaries in some foreign land without God’s specific leading to do so. It is not for us to decide what work “I will do for God.” To attempt to do God’s work without God’s specific calling to do so will never produce abundant, abiding fruit. The Holy Spirit is only working within us in those things God has called us to do; and it is the Holy Spirit that produces the fruit. We are only the branches that bear the fruit produced by the Spirit. I heard a man of God put it this way: There was a believer who decided he was going to do a great work for God. He was all excited about it, and very enthused, and called out, “Come on, Holy Spirit; I need You to help me in this great work for God!” But the Holy Spirit’s reply was, “You’re on your own, buddy. I never told you to do that.” We do not decide what we are to do for God; God decides what we are to do for Him.
The walk of faith is involved with one other major area of our life that takes place every day. God allows circumstances, events, and things to continually touch our life on a daily basis. We need to know beyond the shadow of any doubt that nothing can touch my life except that which God, as Sovereign All-Ruler over all Creation, specifically, consciously, and deliberately allows to happen…and all for His Own good purpose. Therefore, our every day prayer needs to be: “Father…with everything You allow to touch my life this day, enable me, by the power of Your enabling grace, first of all to respond by entrusting these things into Your hands. Enable me to inquire of Your Spirit as to how, and when I am to respond to these things. Keep me from reacting to them in the power of my flesh; enable me to respond to them in the Power of Your Spirit.” It is when we react in the power of the flesh that we do what is wrong in the sight of God. Only the Holy Spirit working within us can free us from what is so often a spontaneous reaction in the power of the flesh. We will never be able to overcome this tendency by our own efforts and in our own strength. Only the Power of the Spirit can set us free; He alone is the One Who works in us both to will and to do.
Friends, brothers and sisters…
There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell. You must be a born-again child of God. I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom. I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]
If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”
He walks with me and He talks with me:
