O my Beloved, I am Yours, and You are mine! I have sought Your Face with all my heart, Lord; be gracious to me according to Your promise! [John 17:10; Isa 43:1; Ps 119:94, 58]
1st ABEL: THE SACRIFICE OF FAITH. In Abel you see how faith makes death to self the entrance to the path to life. Faith is the primary prerequisite to gain entrance into the Holy of Holies and the abiding Presence of God.
Then ENOCH: THE WALK OF FAITH. The walk of faith brings the blessing of a life of unbroken fellowship with God in the Holy of Holies.
Then NOAH: THE WORK OF FAITH. Faith saves others from death by the work it does for them. You are now called along with Noah to do the work of faith that can bless and save those around you…this is the fruit of the tree, produced by the work of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you.
4th ABRAHAM: THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH
Urged on by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was going. Prompted by faith, he dwelt as a foreigner without rights of citizenship in the land which was designated in the promise of God, though he was like a stranger in a strange country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, joint-heirs with him of the same promise. For he was waiting expectantly and confidently looking forward to the City which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God. [Heb 11:8-10]
Obedience: the essence of faith
By faith Abraham obeyed. Obedience is the very essence of faith. In the very nature of things, it is impossible to receive God without receiving His will. I am to learn and to fully embrace obedience as the very life of faith, and the only way into a deep and intimate personal relationship with God. The one thing I must set my heart upon is to live a life of unquestioning child-like obedience to God…immediate, unreserved, joyful.
Unquestioning child-like obedience
A deep humility…that only wants to obey God, to trust Him, and to depend upon Him…is the first essential of a godly character. The one great mark of that character is absolute surrender to God, to let Him BE ALL and to DO ALL in my everyday life. Abraham went out, not knowing whither he went.
Obedience at any cost
It is only when my soul looks steadily at the really supernatural things God is to do for me and in me and through me, that my faith will rest entirely on the Power of God and obey at any cost. Obedience embraces an immediate, unreserved, and joyful acceptance of the entirety of God’s will for me, whether that be simple child-like obedience and suffering, self-sacrifice and self-denial, death to sin and death to self. I am called to be a sojourner in the land of promise…in the life opened up to me by the promises of God…the life in the Holy af Holies, through the Power of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Friends, brothers and sisters…
There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell. You must be a born-again child of God. I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom. I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]
If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”
He walks with me and He talks with me:
