O my Beloved…in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see Your face, let me hear Your voice; for Your voice is sweet, and Your face is altogether lovely! All Your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; pleasing is the fragrance of Your perfumes! Your Name, O Lord, is like…perfume, poured out! [Song 2:14; 1:3; Ps 45:8]
The one thing God gives me is Jesus…the Dying One, the Living One, the Redeeming One. Faith will make me like Him. Beginning with the Abel blessing drawing nigh to God through death, I come to the Enoch blessing, the life of unbroken fellowship. And so I learn the secret of the Noah blessing, and become available to God to participate in His work of salvation of others. Like Christ, along with Him I become…the dying one, the living one, the redeeming one. And all, by faith.
Faith validated by works
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no good works to show for it? Can such faith save his soul? Faith by itself, in the form of a stated belief but not accompanied by actions that bear witness to that stated belief, is destitute of power and dead. But someone will then say, “You claim you have faith, and I have good works.” Now prove to me your actual possession of the faith you claim to possess apart from any accompanying good works, and I by my actions that bear witness to my stated belief will prove to you my actual possession of faith. [James 2:14, 17-18]
In Abel I see how faith makes death the path to life. In Enoch, how faith conquers death and walks with God. In Noah, how faith saves others from death by the work it does for them. The work of faith saves other from death by bringing the blessings and salvation of God before the souls of men. The moment entrance into the Holy of Holies through the Blood of Christ has been set open to me, I am called to the work of love: Wherefore brethren, having now boldness to enter into the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, let us then draw nigh in fullness of faith; here let us continually abide in the fullness of faith. Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Friends, brothers and sisters…
There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell. You must be a born-again child of God. I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom. I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]
If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”
He walks with me and He talks with me:
