My soul thirsts for You, Lord…for the One True Living God! When, Lord, shall I come into Your Presence and behold Your Face…the face of my God? When will You speak to me face to face, Lord, as a man speaks with his friend? [Ps 42:2; Ex 33:11]
Work of faith: the fruit of the tree
Abel: faith makes death the path to life. Enoch: faith conquers death and walks with God. Noah: faith saves others from death by the work it does for them. If with Abel you have drawn nigh to God in the death of Christ and in death to self…this is the root of the tree. If with Enoch you have given yourself to a walk with God, in His Presence and good pleasure, wholly surrendered unto God, wholly given for the blessing and the salvation of souls…this is the tree growing from the root. You are now called along with Noah to do the work of faith that can bless and save those around you…this is the fruit of the tree, produced by the work of the Holy Spirit dwelling within you. The work of faith saves others from death by bringing the blessings and salvation of God before the souls of men. I am called to this work of love: Wherefore brethren, having now boldness to enter into the Holiest by the Blood of Jesus, let us then draw nigh in fullness of faith; here let us continually abide in the fullness of faith. Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another…and all the more as you see the Day approaching. [Heb 10:19, 22 24-25]
By faith: Noah, being warned of God concerning things not seen as yet [read yesterday, January 2]
By faith: Moved with godly fear
In an act of love and mercy, I am to reach out to snatch some of these lost souls out of the fire.
By faith: Noah prepared an ark
This is faith: simply to listen as God reveals His plans, purposes, and will, and in the unquestioning child-like obedience of faith to give up my whole heart and life to carry it out, heedless of the mockery of men, the long delay of the day, and all the difficulties of the work.
By faith: To the saving of his house
The man of faith, who with Abel in the one sacrifice has passed through death to life, and with Enoch walks with God and has power with God… the power of life and blessing through the Holy Spirit working through me, with me, in me, according to His purposes.
By faith: Through which he condemned the world
The difference between the believer and the unbeliever is this: the unbeliever is a man of the world, and lives here. He has and holds the people of this world, and all the things this world has to offer, as the choicest, most precious treasure of his heart. He loves and cherishes the people of this world, and all the things this world has to offer, reserving for them his sweetest, most tender affections.
The believer is a man of God, and lives in the Heavenly realms…a citizen of Heaven. I am no longer a citizen of this world. I have been called out of darkness into God’s marvelous light; transferred out of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. Earth is not my home; I am a stranger and an alien here…a resident alien. The people here are strange to me. What is important to them is not important to me. The things they treasure and value have little worth and value to me. The things they do in their spare time are not the things I would do. The things they laugh at and think are funny are not funny to me…in many cases they are grievous to me. The things they spend their time on are not the things I would spend my time on. The citizens of this world are not like the citizens of my home in Heaven. My whole life is a protest and a condemnation of the world and its manner of life. And all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were aliens and strangers upon the Earth. [Heb 11:13]
By faith: Became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith
The faith that Noah manifested with regard to the ark, and the salvation it was to bring, I must show in relation to Christ and His salvation. All we who, by faith, have entered into the Holy of Holies of God’s Presence and its blessings, are called to go forth and work the work of faith…by faith bring in those who are still without. This is the faith that makes me an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. For we are God’s own workmanship, born anew in Christ Jesus, that we may do those good works which God has prepared in advance for us to do. [Eph 2:10]
Friends, brothers and sisters…
There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell. You must be a born-again child of God. I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom. I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]
If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”
He walks with me and He talks with me:
