7th ABRAHAM: THE TRUST OF FAITH UNTO DEATH. With Sarah, we saw the trust of faith unto life. The result of her faith was the son of promise…Isaac. With Abraham, we see the far deeper trust of faith unto death. The result of his faith was receiving the son of promise back from the dead.
Parallel in Christ’s life
Christ Himself was also my parallel. He was given a human life on Earth through the power of God…a miraculous birth. Then that life He was given was to be offered up unto death. He was obedient to the Father, even unto death. The result of His faith and obedience was that God raised Him from the dead and, in the character of His human nature, exalted Him to the highest place in Heaven: and He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death…even death on a cross! Therefore, in the character of His human nature, God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the Name that is above every Name. [Mark 14:36; Phil 2:8-9]
Absolute surrender
The highest manifestation of God’s power is the raising of Christ from the dead. The highest exercise of faith by Christ was in laying down His life unto death…He committed His spirit into the Father’s hands. The highest exercise of faith in a believer is the daily surrender of the life God has given me, unto death…obedience and suffering, self-sacrifice and self-denial, death to sin and death to self…in the faith that He will quicken it each moment by His indwelling Spirit. My whole life, every day, every moment, is to be the work of Almighty God within me by the Power of His indwelling Holy Spirit.
Following Jesus
I want to know Jesus…ever more deeply, ever more intimately; I want to know Him in the power of His resurrection and in the fellowship of His sufferings, being continually conformed ever more deeply into the likeness of His death…death to sin and death to self… in order that I may thereby attain, more and more, to the power of His resurrection life out from the dead…the power to walk triumphantly through each and every day, as more than a conqueror and with overwhelming victory. [Phil 3:10-11]
Friends, brothers and sisters…
There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell. You must be a born-again child of God. I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom. I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]
If you have never been born again,

or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
