January 27

Beloved…keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.  But understand this: if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.  So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him. [Jesus…Matt 24:42-44]

8th: THE BLESSING OF FAITH UPON THE CHILDREN.  Faith never confines itself to the believer himself, but touches his home, his children, and everyone else with whom he comes into contact with.

Now 9th MOSES: THE DECISION OF FAITH

Aroused by faith, Moses, when he had grown to maturity and become great, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.  He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time.  He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than all the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes of faith on the future reward that God would give him. [Heb 11:24-26]

Example of Moses

Moses was confronted with a choice, just as we all are.  God’s exhortation to all mankind is: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world…the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. [1 John 2:15-17]  The visible, temporal world was a severe test for Moses.  The lust of the flesh: the pleasures of sin for a season.  The lust of the eyes: The riches of Egypt.  The pride of life: to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.  By choice, rather than keeping his physical eyes on these visible, temporal things, he kept his eyes of faith on the future reward that God would give him…faith in the blessing of God on the people of God; union in spirit with the Christ of God; the assurance of a Heavenly Kingdom, with its reversal of the judgments of Earth.  He saw that to be mistreated along with the people of God is to have God as his portion and defense.

Choice: the visible, temporal world or the unseen, spiritual realm

He who trusts and yields himself to the visible and temporal lives an Earthly, fleshly life. He who looks to the unseen and the eternal, and joins himself to it, lives a divine, a Heavenly life.  Between these two faith has ever to make its choice.  The great work of faith has to do with the choice of the unseen divine and Heavenly life in the spiritual realm.  Since, then, I have been raised with Christ into newness of life, I will set my heart on things above, in the Heavenly realms, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father. I will set my mind and my thoughts on the things of Heaven, not on the things of Earth. For I died in union with Christ, and my new life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is my life, appears, then I also will appear with Him in glory. [Col 3:1-4]

Friends, brothers and sisters…

There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell.  You must be a born-again child of God.  I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom.  I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]

If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”

Jesus I crown You with praise:
