Beloved…The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.  The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire.  Since everything on the Earth will be destroyed in this way, you ought to live a holy and godly life as you look forward to the coming Day of the Lord!  Everyone who has this hope purifies himself, just as He is pure. [Jesus…2 Peter 3:10-12; 1 John 3:3]

9th MOSES: THE DECISION OF FAITH.  By choice, rather than keeping his physical eyes on these visible, temporal things, he kept his eyes of faith on the future reward that God would give him.

The desire of my heart

The choice before me is: the desire of my heart for the things this world has to offer, or the desire of my heart to live with Christ in the Holy of Holies of God’s Presence.  I cannot have both: No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in. [Matt 6:24]  My longing must be for life in the spiritual realm…a longing to know how I can grow strong and live in the full exercise of a faith that inherits the promise and enters into the Holy of Holies wherein is the promised rest of God.  Therefore, since the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. [Heb 4:1] Following the example of Moses, I am to let faith prove itself in choosing, once for all and for always, at any cost, the unseen things of the spiritual realm.  The reward will be sure and large.  No matter what the cost…even facing the loss of all…faith must not hesitate or halt.  More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him.  For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ. [Phil 3:8]  This is the spiritual discipline that makes faith strong.  Sacrifice and suffering and loss and trial are welcomed as the training in which the decision of faith, and the steadfast will, and the strong character, and the victory of faith, are attained.

Eye of faith sees things as God sees them

What is the faith that enables a soul to bear ALL and to sacrifice ALL?  Nothing but an eye that sees into the true nature and value of things, that judges of them as God does. Examine very carefully where the danger lies.  Is it the friendship and honor of people? Is it pleasure?  Is it the cares of the world?  Is it the things this world has to offer? Whatever it be, give it up.  It is only an unworldly spirit that can be strong in faith.

Friends, brothers and sisters…

There is one absolutely necessary preparation for every living soul on the face of this Earth, for the soon coming and imminent return of Jesus Christ…the one preparation that will irrevocably determine in which neighborhood you will spend all eternity, whether in Heaven or in Hell.  You must be a born-again child of God.  I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s Kingdom.  I tell you the truth, no one can ever enter the Kingdom of God unless you are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at My saying you must be born again. [Jesus…John 3:3-7]

If you have never been born again,
or you are not sure whether you have been born again,
or you have been living your life as a lukewarm Christian and would now like to recommit your life and enter into a deep and intimate relationship with Christ Jesus in preparation for the soon coming marriage supper of the Lamb…
then I counsel you to get alone with God, read the solemn marriage vows you must make to become the bride of Christ and thereby be born-again, [https://preservechristianfamily.org/2019/01/21/bride-of-christ/], and with sincerity of heart from within the depths of your being, acknowledge before God, “I DO.”

Blessed Assurance:
